Probably a dumb question because it look different, but will the 87 window fit the earlier years. I'm looking to replace my windshield on my 84 and it's tough to tell form pictures how different those split windshields are. A local glass shop quoted me $300 to replace the front glass, so the ebay one seems to be a pretty good option if it fit. Thanks.

Great kid's skis. We have a pair and have taught a lot of kids to ski with these. We put modern bindings on them. They're just the right size and have neutral buoyancy. These aren't mine, I'm just pointing them out if someone's looking for a good pair of kids skis.

For what it's worth, I have a FlitePipe and like it. Not that I have much experience with other versions, just find this one sturdy and very easy to put up/take down. |

And you don't need a SDBM to use it with a ring/finger pylon.

Yeah that's pretty good... Better measure your pylon though, 1-1/4" doesn't seem like it would work.

Next question, for the group, I'm looking for a cheap BF suit and found these two- Intensity Old school BI Iron The Intensity guy isn't sure what size it is, but I think it will work for me. The BI guy told me he would put a buy it now on there for $70 but I don't love the sleeves...gotta give these pythons room to roam! Thoughts? |

3 thoughts...
1.) don't skimp on Barefooting equipment, buy the best that you can afford - I would go with a NEW Eagle or BFI suit and neck brace. 2.) My neighbor has an old school IRON suit, it has to be almost 20 years old, it has held up well. 3.) Another footer friend bought a closeout Intensity suit 3 years ago, he doesn't ski a lot and it fell apart last summer (barely made it 2 years) - the one in the picture looks to be of a lot higher quality. Did I mention, get a neck brace (sorry for being so preachy...) |

If the price is good, then I'd consider boring or a sleeve to match the pylon dia. |

Do you recommend a neck brace for all footing, not just footing bacerds? |

I know Pete and I know your comment was a bit tongue in cheek, but back in the day, they didn't have the technology that we have today either (suits, booms, braces, etc) and I also sense that it was "easier" to find flat water. I get the Bravado thing - I used to be somewhat of that mindset. Footin is an awesomely fun sport, but pretty high on the risk side so why not take every precaution that you can. I just don't want anyone to have to go through what I did (or God forbid something worse), so I say use all the safety equipment you can so you can enjoy the sport a long, long time. Ok, ok, stepping of the soap box now... Oh, I do draw the line at socks - no one should foot with socks, that is TOTALLY Wimping out!!! |

Perhaps a little context is needed here. I just got assigned a project for work that will take me to Australia for several weeks at a time and will last through August at least. It just so happens that the city I'll be in is about a six hour drive from our boy Lewy, so I'm going footing. I completely understand and agree with the safety concerns, and don't fault you at all for harping on that. What I'm looking for is a suit that I can ship around the world and leave for several months that won't stop me from footing here too. I have a BI Iron suit that I bought new that has about 2 years on it and I love it, so that's my "everyday" suit, if you want to call it that. This one would just be one that lives in Aus for a while and afterwards if I need one to ship somewhere (like Jbear's house) to use for a few runs over a weekend I will have one. So...that being said, you guys think that intensity is the way to go? The price difference is negligible and I really don't like the idea of the short sleeves. |

My biggest concern is that I'm buying something that someone else has probably already peed in
