Possibly a scam, but I'm a gambling man and got a feeling about this boat. Roll the dice!
I reported it item to eBay. Notice that all the text is pasted in, you can't highlight anything. |

Am I missing something? How can you get negative feed back by placing a bid and him removing it? All jokes about the fire aside, just how many heated garages are there in San Diego?I think Chris is right on the money."Do not email me thru ask seller a question my ebay email address is slow and dosen't work sometimes",how would he know, he has no feed back!

Makes me laugh Pat.
1)Photo doesn't look like San Diego. 2)No one winterizes a boat in San Diego (it's pretty much 60-80 degrees year round). 3) I live over 500 miles from San Diego. BKH |

Can't make out the tags but my guess would be that boat is in Michigan not Cali.
Looks like a scam to me. |

good deal
This sure looks like a good deal . Maybe we should have BKH. go take a look at it . But of course you have to contact the seller before you bid . Just like all the other items on eBay . |

Must be one of those people with more money then sense. I know people like that at work they will buy something, dump tons of money into it. But the crap they buy with the money no one will ever use. Just silly. It's different if you want to buy an older boat and dump a bunch of money into restoring it.

I was thinking about bidding on that boat, but then I realized it had no disco ball, so it wouldn't do for me at all.

Nothing like a good stereo, hearing the music while skiing or of course sharing your music of choice with the rest of the lake! Cannot imagine the TV monitors as being very functional, I can barely see my cell phone screen on a sunny day so what good would those screens be? The over the tower bimini's are also nasty looking IMHO.

That's it??? Where's the custom seat backs that ensure a popped collar never goes limp? Where's the automatic cologne dispenser? Where's the freezer for my double chilled Sambuca? Where are the tube racks?!?!? That may look sick at first glance, but there's plenty of work to be done. |

Steve,
Dont get me wrong... I dont have a problem if someone has a stereo in their boat. But, whats the point of lcd screens? might as well stay home in my easy chair. Besides could yo even see them in the daylight? |

I put a new stereo in my BFN, but nothing that comes out of the speakers sounds better than the engine.

Hollywood, I think your right on the 454 option. I thought I saw somewhere in one of the previous year brochures that is was standard. I have been wrong before, could be now. I have only herd of 3 BFNs with 351's in them and they were all 3 91-94's. So I guess with the number of BFN's out there with 454's might have been more of an assumtion than a fact that the 454 was standard and the 351 was option.

The ultimate $90,000 high tech, dance revolution wakeboard machine and we get a black and white photo shot with a kodak instomatic camera....something is amiss.

The fog machine is certainly a first for me. I'll reserve further comment and just agree that there is something "SICK" about it

I'm leaning towards Dominique as well, because of that observer seat and dash. There doesn't appear to be much fading on the stripe, probably because there weren't any giant BAREFOOT NAUTIQUE graphics on there either.
James, where are you reading the big block was standard? I believe you could order either just like most SNs had the GT-40 and not Pythons. Most BFNs were ordered to use for barefooters, so they usually went with the big block. The official's jump seat is similar to the jump seats CC uses today, you can see them in the '89 brochure on the BFN. |

I was board at work today and was looking through the refference section. The 1988 Dominiquie came standard with adjustable passanger bucket seat with swivel, deluxe stern seat with storage. Drink holders on motor box were optional equiptment. The officials jump seat was the option on the barefooter, not sure if this is a bucket or just a single seat. As opposed to the love seat that was standard. So I am definitely leaning more towards the boat on ebay being a Dominique.

We I think the 454 came standard in the BFn with the option of the 351. Where as the dominique was the other way around. The interior suggests it is a Dominique. I have never seen a BFN with that interior package. But there is a first for everything.

I asked the guy the same question and he said it was a Barefoot Nautique. Not sure if the 351w was the standard engine on that boat, but the only other real difference would have been the decals, right? Theres a bid on it now ($2500) so Im out. I wouldnt have paid more than $1k for it. It would cost more to piece it back together than its worth, and I dont think you could make back the money by parting it out... not sure what the person bidding on it is thinking. |

small block, bucket seats up front, check out the dash board, I think it's a dominique. Same hull but not what he advertised. |

TRBenj, You might get it yet, no one is even bidding this may increase your chances of getting it. Alan you may be on to something. The boat has a 351 in it or had one in it. The interior is up graded. No decals on the side. Would need to see a shot of the back end of the boat to know for sure if it is a BFN and not a Dominique.
