Exhaust elbow / Freight costs

I,m looking for a exhaust elbow RO0291. Have seen servial shops in the US who sell them for nice price, but the freight cost are quite high to europe about 90 dollar for one elbow.
Do you know better /cheaper options to ship? I have some time don't need it fast. We have to pay VAT and taxes (25%) of the total sum part price + freight, so cheaper freight make some difference

I need to ask, what's wrong with your existing elbow? Can it be repaired?

Cut the outside wall open, weld up/repair the internal damage and weld the outside back up. It's done all the time with hard to find or NLA manifold/elbow castings.

i contacted yesterday a ebay seller located in the US he has a pair of nearly new elbows for sale. but shipping will be 140 dollar for the two. It seems that they only use UPS priority.

Make it worth his while to look into eBay Global shipping. Sweeten his deal (generally, he doesn't get that shipping money) and has to work a little extra to do it. Offer him a premium to look into it. But don't "Make an offer" where the shipping is not at an agreed to price as you will be expected to pay what the offer said, not what any agreed to costs WOULD be.

I got burned on destroyed speedos from Canada without typical EBay recourse because it's international (and Canada isn't all THAT international). I understand the reluctance on both sides of the sale.

As Air206 said time to talk to seller for a deal on Buy it Now with GSP... I know this is not what you need but an exhaust elbow on EBay with GSP $18.19 to the UK ...
Don't discount Canada I have good luck from there and the exchange rate is better on C/dollars.... Euro and Pound are down the pan at the moment so things cost more.

Be careful Cape Coral is almost surrounded by salt water. If you must,get pictures of the inside of the exhaust exit and post them

ok for the Uk it is the same.
i think it is an ebay trick high part price is low shipping price or low part price is high shipping price..

Thanks for leaving the rest off Mark...Have had all good experience with EBay GSP tracking has worked well too, one thing that I found was the time it takes can be off a little but that has got better into the UK I think they are building the GSP network all the time.
Is it the same as us for you ? pay once and that is it no extra tax on import into OZ
