I always thought it would be fun, given infintie money, to outfit one of the older Ski Tique's or a wreck of a Gen 1 Ski Nautique with one of those Supercharged XS550's. Now that would be some fun...

....and a GT-40 in a 63 classic is a crazy idea too but MAN what a fun boat to drive!

I had a ProCraft FSN before I bought the 88' so I can appreciate a good fishin' boat but there were more times that I could think of that I REALLY need to be cutting up this glass on a ski then cutting it with a lure and some line. If I were gonna get back into fishing again I'd look for a Bass Nauti just for the coolness factor. Looking forward to seeing a Sishin' Boat restore.

Something like this should make it the fastest boat on CCF. My friend up the road who has been racing outboards for +40 years claims they'll easily handle a 200 shot of nitrous incase you need a little more holeshot.

I have always had a fascination with these Bass Nautique, I talked to Art about them, he indicated that they were indeed originally made from another manufacturer - a company called Logan's Run. The owner, as he was going out of business, came to Correct Craft and told them, he only trusted them to continue building the quality boats that he had built. So they bought a mold and then hired him as a consultant. As they started production and attended the first couple of boat shows, they found other manufactures with the same hull. Turns out the owner had told them the same story and sold them molds as well.. Needless to say his consulting services were no longer needed.

EDIT: When sold as the Bass Nautique, they were indeed made by Correct Craft at the Correct Craft factory. So I would imagine because the hull is SO radically different, there was a variation in the "normal" manufacturing process. I do see some"tells" of Correct Craft manufacturing...

I'll feel much better once all the foam is out.......started on that project today.....only managed to scrape out 1 row between the stringers....Foam was drenched in water.
I knew this was going to be a huge project but I am still happy with it, the glass and woodwork side of it doesn't bother me, just taking my time and doing it right.

Well.........7 months later and I am again able to work on the boat......Had to delay the whole project, work slowed down and so money got tight .
But, back on it again, stringers are out and the foam is gone (what a PIA that was......I found a machete worked wonders, slide it under the foam and pull out and up, huge chunks came out).
