Monty,
Learn how to post links here on CCfan! Here's the link to the BFN I also suggest you post the for sale in the appropriate spot - the for sale section!!

Damn Pete, thought you'd be all giddy because he's pulling a tube in one of the pics in the add?

Needs interior and no pictures of engine, assume it's a GT-40 based on them saying 310 HP, also hours not listed. Good price if you're in the market, but plan on spending quite a bit for a full interior.

Trailer looks stout and overbuilt....until you see that tiny tongue! Was that OEM from Dorsey or a hackjob to fit in someone's garage?

Wonder what the real story is on that SNOB. Momma taking the pictures based on the foot in one shot, the suggested 30k value comment, get real?? I would check it out with 5k in cash in hand, great hull/wake in a desirable boat, at the right price, definitely needs some TLC.

I have seen several Dorsey's around here that have that same exact setup, even some Super Airs. It def needs some love but has some nice features. If only I wasn't on the downward slide of finishing up my 89'. But getting away from the wood sure is mighty tempting!

Interested in a BFN for barefooting but but more importantly it would be a great big lake boat. As far as barefoot capability, Im thinking its tough to beat Dad's Malibu Sportster.

Not yet but I like the sounds of that. One more reason to add one to the collection.

I've had the same thoughts about big lake conditions, my Sport was overmatched on Winnipesaukee a few times this summer. I like the idea of a BFN or Dom, but then figure why not go all the way to one of the 23 ft. hulls and really get some cruising capability and room.

I think the last year for the V-Drive Excel/Barefoot Nautique was 93.

Can't comment on the wake, but it's more of a Deep-V, ideal for Barefoot, but probably much more of a bump for slalom.

Last year for the Excel/BFN was 1994.

From what I understand, the v-drive wake is even larger than the direct drive BFN... which is to say, quite large. Lousy slalom boat.

Tough decision, spend 100K+ and be so busy working to pay for it that you have to settle for whatever water conditions you can get. Or keep what you have, quit work and go out on your terms

Oops Gary, I guess I wasn't clear. I don't mean a new 23 ft. boat, I mean a really old 23 ft. boat - San Juan or Cuddy Nautique.

I won't be ordering a new boat any time soon! But, I do very much appreciate those people that do buy the new boats, otherwise I wouldn't have old boats to choose from.
