I emailed him last week also. He said that he agreed it was an '86 based on the brochures, but the paperwork for the boat said it was an '87 (Im assuming paperwork = title/reg). He said he would be sure to change the auction, but the listing is still wrong.

That's an 85% no fall rating............ I didn't know water sports had fall ratings. I'm not convinced that's not Hollywood standing on the board either !!!

You probably did before you sold this pattern and made $2 mil.

Why doesn't someone email him and say they've been skiing on this exact design board for nearly 30 years. Then add also that you have the patent and he should cease and desist or will be getting a call from your attorney.

I saw this a couple of days ago, me and a guy at work were laughing about it.

By the way I did get an email back from the guy with the 86 listed as an 87. He told me it is an 86.

Dangit, I was just about to come over here and post that one. I'm rolling over the 85% no fall rating. I'd have guessed no more than 83%, but what do I know. The "tracksion" tape is a nice touch.

Here's a new find. Comes with a very rare Chrysler 351 cleveland, inboard/outboard drive. Valve cover got busted up in the cylender, hate it when that happens.
Barefoot Natique

Is it even a Barefoot or is it a Dominique?

Well, I guess the cats out of the bag. I was in contact with the seller and was hoping to pick it up if it didnt go on ebay. No way is that boat worth $2k with no motor or tranny, even if its structurally perfect (which is doubtful). Oh well.

TRBenj, You might get it yet, no one is even bidding this may increase your chances of getting it. Alan you may be on to something. The boat has a 351 in it or had one in it. The interior is up graded. No decals on the side. Would need to see a shot of the back end of the boat to know for sure if it is a BFN and not a Dominique.

small block, bucket seats up front, check out the dash board, I think it's a dominique. Same hull but not what he advertised.

I asked the guy the same question and he said it was a Barefoot Nautique. Not sure if the 351w was the standard engine on that boat, but the only other real difference would have been the decals, right?

Theres a bid on it now ($2500) so Im out. I wouldnt have paid more than $1k for it. It would cost more to piece it back together than its worth, and I dont think you could make back the money by parting it out... not sure what the person bidding on it is thinking.

We I think the 454 came standard in the BFn with the option of the 351. Where as the dominique was the other way around. The interior suggests it is a Dominique. I have never seen a BFN with that interior package. But there is a first for everything.

I was board at work today and was looking through the refference section. The 1988 Dominiquie came standard with adjustable passanger bucket seat with swivel, deluxe stern seat with storage. Drink holders on motor box were optional equiptment. The officials jump seat was the option on the barefooter, not sure if this is a bucket or just a single seat. As opposed to the love seat that was standard. So I am definitely leaning more towards the boat on ebay being a Dominique.

I'm leaning towards Dominique as well, because of that observer seat and dash. There doesn't appear to be much fading on the stripe, probably because there weren't any giant BAREFOOT NAUTIQUE graphics on there either.

James, where are you reading the big block was standard? I believe you could order either just like most SNs had the GT-40 and not Pythons. Most BFNs were ordered to use for barefooters, so they usually went with the big block. The official's jump seat is similar to the jump seats CC uses today, you can see them in the '89 brochure on the BFN.

Hollywood, I think your right on the 454 option. I thought I saw somewhere in one of the previous year brochures that is was standard. I have been wrong before, could be now. I have only herd of 3 BFNs with 351's in them and they were all 3 91-94's. So I guess with the number of BFN's out there with 454's might have been more of an assumtion than a fact that the 454 was standard and the 351 was option.

I put a new stereo in my BFN, but nothing that comes out of the speakers sounds better than the engine.
