Hey guys

Took the top of my 98 196 and started to think about replacing the carpet,,, found that the carpet was relatively easy to source out but not those pesky little plastic carpet trim pieces !

Anybody know where I could locate these I fear my current are not salvagable.

Thanks in Advance

If they are anyhing like minem they were just glued & stapled down. They came up really easy. I decised not to use them with the new carpet for that seamless look.

Goose, what makes you think the old ones are not salvagable? I would think it exists, but I havent found the trim anywhere. Mine was split at the seams in a few places and looked a little ugly when I took it out- but I cleaned it with acetone, hit it with 303 and reinstalled. It looks better than the new stuff in my dad's '03.

I've cleaned a few similar parts with kerosene and get a good clean-up and a nice sheen(but not shiny). Is there a reason not to use kerosene?
