This is my 1989 Ski Nautique 2001. I purchased it in December 2005 from California and shipped it back to Brisbane Australia.
The boat was a project from the start. The previous owner had cooked the motor. When it arrived, it was basically a hull full of boxes of dissasembled motor. A buddy and I completely rebuilt the engine to standard spec over a few weekends (and beers).
The hull has undergone the most transformation. I have painted it metalic blue, and added late model decals. A tower, wakeboard racks, tower speakers, and custom bimni top have also ben added.
Inside has new carpet, and the skins were redone by the P.O. in the USA. I have also installed a nice stereo system to keep everyone entertained.
Friends & family have spent many good times in and behind this boat. Everyone loves the old Nautique. I love the fact that there are only a handful of these in Australia, and that you’re unlikely to see another like it.
