are you going to be fishing from your 94 SN? doubt it,

Stick your hand in the water and if it's not to cold for you then get in the water and ski or put a wet or dry suit on.

water temp gauge for a ski boat thats funny.

Well, my boat came with one. Has an air and water temp guage. Don't know how useful it is, but everyone including me seems to check it out. Don't know the brand. You might check with your Correct Craft dealer and see what brand they use. BKH

There are web sites all over the place near me that post water temps. I've never thought much about it, but I'm sure if I had a gage, I'd be looking at it all the time. 79's method works too.

That's interesting Brian, never knew they did that on ski boats, we use them all the time when fishing. But to me your either getting in the water and skiing or your going to be a wuss and stay in the boat. Beside it's not really the water temp that gets ya, it's the wind once you get out of the water.

I told my wife that I was going to get a lake temperature guage. Then I bought Perfect Pass Digital Pro.

My boat has both air and water temp as well, there is a small display on the Faria tach and speedo that shows temps and other imformation like the amount of fuel running time remaining, engine temp, oil pressure, hours, etc.

I believe the water temp is taken at the raw water intake hose before the strainer, with that the water temp is really just the surface temp, it will give you an idea however go down a few feet and it will be colder. It is a cool feature that I check often however it really does not matter like 79' said, your either getting in or wussin' out!

I also have Perfect Pass on my boat, I am not sure if some of the display information is obtained through PP or another source, I do know that some of the older versions (pre 6.5) of PP included lot's of information like Air/water temp, hours, etc. and not just speed control. If you go the PP route double check the latest software still includes Air & Water temp, seem to recall somewhere reading that one or both of those functions are no longer included in the latest versions.

All I know is if you are sitting in the water around a bunch people drinking, and all of sudden the water gets warm, its time to move!

my 01 sport had a water/air temp gauge I liked it. My cousin told me it had to be wrong when the pic of me skiing in december was taken. he said it should be like the one in the car and worn you in cases of ice.

something happened! This post used to be named something like "Water temperature gage" or something like that. It got changed to "W" or whatever. That's hillarious! It's a post about nothing. Is this a Seinfeld episode?

I don't blame him. Bill, you've almost scared me off with your project--I am forever humbled.
