Hi, I am new CCF and hope to soon own a 1970 Barracuda with the 318... I was hoping to get some answers and or advice here.

Can anyone tell what the difference is between a 70' barracuda and 70ish ski nautique is?

Can anyone tell what the difference is between a 70' cuda and a 70' cuda ss is?

Thanks.

I am considering a 1970 Barracuda that is in fair to good condition (minor gla$$ work and paint) owner says it runs great, but it is winterized rightnow, so who knows... any areas to look for big glaring clues of problems with these boats...???? Thanks so much.

Neil

The Nautiques in 70 were slightly longer and slighly narrower than the Barracuda. The Nautique was also "bare bones" and 400lbs lighter. The difference between the SS and the non SS Barracda was the center consol in the SS.

Check for any rot in the stringers and floor.

Good luck getting it. You know where to come with any questions!
