I'm in the process of replacing the speedo pitot tubing in my 77 Tique. I routed it through the bilge and got to the transom and then noticed that the original was routed high under the gunwale. I'm thinking was it routed high for trapped water drainage? Anyone have any input? Thanks,Pete

In my 87 SN the pitot tubing is routed through the gunnel or gunwhale whatever it is called.

The tubing on my Supreme is up the inside of the transom, along the top of the gunnel and comes out right in line with the speedo locations on the dash. The left one comes across the transom and follows same route as right one.
I can't ay what it is on my new to me Nautique as I don't have it at home yet. I think the draining idea could be a possibility. |
