Tim,
If you do find a trailer without the swing away tongue, there are tongue kits available. kits for tongue

How about some pictures of your boat? We'd love to see it.

Thanks for the link. Did you mean if I do not find a trailer with swing away toung? Those parts look like parts for a trailer with swing away tounge. It may be possible to adapt one of those parts for my pull out tounge. I am looking for the pics of boat.

Yes you can adapt nearly any trailer to a swing away tongue if that's what you're asking. Depending on the angle of the vee, some trailers will gain more than others. Keep in mind there's a top and bottom way to mount it, the incorrect way will lose you 4".

Tim,
Yes, the link is for converting a existing trailer to a swing away tongue. Do you have a Sawsall and a drill? If not, borrow them.

Looks like you could mount the swing away, right in front of the winch...

Seems like a lot of effort and money to gain convenience only.

I have a feeling the boat won't fit in his garage!

Time and effort to put a adjuster on it is not worth it. The toung does come out and not too heavy. My back problems sometimes gets me to want to something ideal.
