Pete, went for a stroll with Cheif and a new "derby" named Buddy. Both Pointers, found a few Woodcock, just not cold enough in Ark and Missouri to finish the push down to warmer habitat.
Numbers are good from the "singing grounds"up your way.We are expecting good healthy birds, mild weather on the flight South, combined with above average population.
All in all it looks like the start of a good year. Wish you were here to join in the hunt.

Why do CC's, and most single inboards HISTORICALLY (late model non-conformists don't count), rotate to starboard or RH propped, is that what you're asking Eric?

In the beginning Noah made his prop right hand and all others followed suit.Until one day George the bean counter said "it will save you money" and the props are available from the v drive guys lets just use stardard rotation motors.

I also believe my ice chest is a great observer so if the boat is running with a list I just move the ice chest and all the gear that ends up stacked behind driver seat.

Eric, work must be slow up there. Why all the questions ? There are forces in the universe that you do not ask about!!!!!
How does all those electrons line up to become the Zap when you flip the wall switch?
How does Luke know when Darth Vader is near?
How come Pete has all the right answers?
How does 79 vanish then reappear?
Go shovel snow or clean those T-5 fixtures and leave the deep thinking to those that do not have a real job..............

Why they did it I dunno, the effect however is that if your engine doesn't turn the correct way in the older boats and your in it by yourself you end up driving from the passenger seat till you hit about 25-30 mph, or you cant see over the port side effectively.

why does it spin to the right? because that's the f'n way they wanted to make it. And mercruiser and everyone else followed the lead, got it, get it, well then there you have it?

Thinking outside the box...

There are two ways to spin, to the left or to the right. There are two sides to a coin...

It's been so long since I rode in an old Correct Craft, I'm wondering, if it rides level with just the driver, does it list to port with an observer in the boat?

I dont think anyones saying that a vintage CC rides level with just the driver- but a LH prop would certainly make it worse.
