I might go take a look. That boat has now been listed in the same location for maybe 3 years or more, I think it was listed for maybe $12,000, then when I called on it a few years ago it was $10,000, so they are finally getting into a more reasonable range. No idea of condition.

I thought you already had looked at it. The add write up has gotten significantly better over the years as well. I'm running up to ME tomorrow and it looks to be just off my route. Maybe I'll stop and take a look if I have time.

I have to laugh at that ad with the one owner part. It's like if Hertz or Budget was advertising one owner. Or our old Bell vans- one owner but 15 drivers who didn't give a c*ap! I'm guessing it might not have a trailer?

I generally don't know what I'm doing until the last minute, may end up driving to Worcester for a crew race tomorrow morning, waiting to hear. So I won't know till later tonight or if I can make it or not.

I would never waste the guys time if I wasn't really interested, but would love to splash that boat and see how it rides. Kind of hard without a trailer.

Proper link for Wildcat CC with CHRYSLER 440
The only Dodge marine engine I'm aware of is when Horace Dodge split off autos in about 1924 making boats. He was utilizing the Dodge 4 cylinder automotive engine marinizing it for his Watercar boats.

It's interesting. I have. No idea how to post a video from my phone. So if you want to see the video just pm me. With your ce ll # and I'll text it to you

Keaton boats in Sacramento from the late 50's to 2000 built their own boats and installed engines based on the owner of Keaton's wishes. He built the Keaton Utility with 383 Dodge, 440 Dodge for years then 455 Olds engines, 460 Fords, 350 and 454 Chevys.
Dodge was used over the years.
I figure if Keaton could find them so could Correct Craft. The 440 made great torque so I bet that old boat would nearly fly.   I have seen the Dodge Boat's that were in the former Harrah's collection. I saw them at the Tahoe Boat works on the shore of Lake Tahoe.
Really cool boats, and really old now.

Mark,
I have seen several Keaton boats at shows and being intrigued, have taken close looks but didn't find Dodge marine engines, Chrysler's yes! I just spent some time on the Keaton owners site. and saw plenty of Chrysler's, Ford/Interceptor's, Chevy's and even the Olds 455's that were so common with the jets but not one Dodge!! The Wildcat on craigslist even states the engine as a 440 Chrysler marine. I even did a search for Dodge Marine engines and couldn't find any so what's up? How about a link or some pictures??

John called me with the details, and I'll try to get over to take a look at it. Sounds like it would only make sense if the guy is way more realistic on price, not worth anything near what he's asking.

'99 GT 40 Red. Could be a bargain. Osco manifolds along with Jax location makes me think saltwater but has MI registration letters with a FL sticker? That isn't right/legal.

Looks like an older CC trailer with newer wheels as well.

That trailer looks familiar. No brakes means 86-87 vintage.

I believe that boat was listed for sale in the Tampa area in the fall. No trailer, price was crazy low (6k?).

That red fairly clean '88 BFN in Orlando that's been reported on a lot is down to $5900.
