Surprised this boat is still for sale. great bang for the buck! less than 5 hours on a new (not rebuild) transmission.
Hobby Boats can be expensive when the hobbyist is limited on their own skill and expertise.

This seller is smokin the good stuff! does not even know what year the boat is to boot!
http://tallahassee.craigslist.org/boa/4923060975.html

Probably a good find, but going to be hard to sell quoting 5000 plus hours!

I know this is sacrilegious, but would this boat be a good team trainer? I am looking for something to pull ATB's in a left turn, and do all the other stuff a show team does, and do it cheaply.

I'll probably be in Austin for a day or two this coming week but I'm not 100% on going down yet... Might have serious price reductions because nearly every lake around Austin is super low and they have been for several years without much hope in sight.

That windshield looks really Tall and sharp for ATB's. Me sees lots of frustrating rope stucks in your future if you do... I think I would take someone with me and try driving a couple before I bought it.

It might be an optical illusion, Supremes are pretty low profile- even If somewhat upright, the windshield is not tall. They ride like bricks through chop and I don't think their construction was as beefy as CC, but I think they're one of the coolest looking 80's ski boats. They usually have pcm's too, so that is a bonus. They're not as well known and won't command cc money in resale but for a workhorse I think you'd be doing just fine. Gottaski Tom is our local supreme expert. I say go for it.

Trust me, this boat is just as wrecked in person.

Never in saltwater but clearly at a sandbar on the coast.

Some probably know this boat, a bit over priced IIRC.

Gotcha.   I remember this boat with the yellow stripe and the tinted windscreen, and Ripster just came to mind. Must have been another member.

This ones in my home town.

Someone who says that boat has "crisp handling" has clearly never driven a vintage CC.

My thoughts as well Larry. The only thing crisp about that boat is the color contrasting.
