Keith glad to hear you got it sold. Now we have to find you another one. Sorry the one in Jackson didn't pan out.

The original quote was over $4,500 (which isn't bad considering it's over 3,000 miles). We were able to work out a little better deal as the new owner was very flexible on delivery time (i.e. could be combined with other boat deliveries).

What's great about Osborne is that they are fully insured and they know what they are doing. They have a great reputation that made all the differce for me. I couldn't have sold my boat without their service.

I think this is definitely a record distance for CorrectCraftFan.com. The boat is in ME right now so it's actually going even further! This is about as far as you can get within the continental US. Just goes to show you the value of these boats - even after 20+ years.

Keith,

How much is it going to cost the new owner to have that boat shipped across country like that?

Could this be a ccf record for furthest distance travelled?

No idea about the status of Big Steve's boat. I haven't seen him or his boat for 4-5 years.

The last I saw it, it would have needed a ton of work to bring it back to life.

Keith, love your boat!! It's very tempting to me. Personally I hope you keep it, but I certainly understand your reasoning.

Guess I've got "boat envy"!

I love the metal flake look. I wish more boats had the option of a flake look today.

duffnit,
The metal flake gelcoat buffs just like the other gelcoat. Looks great with just a little elbow grease.

Hye Guys,
Yes, I lowered the price to see if I could move the Silver in time for me to get a new boat before spring comes to NE. I have several people seriously looking but they're all far away so they are understandably taking their time to figure out logistics.

If it doesn't sell in another week or two, I'll be keeping her another season with little complaint.

I agree, Keith's boat is hard to pass up. If I was upgrading from my 1980 Nautique again, I'd buy Keith's boat. His price is lower than some of the standard Ski Nautique's. The Silver Nautique is a keeper, as well as the Paragon. You watch, the price of the Silver Nautique in 10 or 20 years will still be $10-$12K. Hopefully we'll keep Keith's boat in the CorrectCraftFan.com family.

Wow, I can't believe that 10k is all that is being asked for this great boat. Thats an amazing boat, especially with that new CC steering wheel cap on it. Haha

Since the Silver Nautique has the metal flake in the paint, would it the same or more difficult to try and wetsand the gel?
Seeing Keith has lowerd his price again has me thinking hard.... I can't believe someone hasn't grabbed that boat yet.... If he were closer.... I did go to New England for my current SN.... hmmmmm... uh, honey

It may still be worth restoring . You could invite your pit crew in for a KEGGER . They would have it done in no time . If not then buy another keg .

So if the idea of the silver nautique was to have all the options, why didn't they do the big block?

I would kill for one of these boats. They are an amazing piece of CC history

Glen: I was begining to wonder if you noticed this thread.

Yeah, Big Steve was a piece of work. Not a very good club member. Can't believe that he would let that boat go but then again maybe I shouldn't be surprised.

Greetings to your Mom and Dad for me, please.

John,
Yep, I remember Big Steve and his Silver. The last time I saw it, it was a sad basket case. Plywood seats. When I mean plywood seats, I mean plywood seats. No foam, not vinyl, just plywood.

   What a piece of work!!

What a waste of a nice boat.

Wow it also makes me sad when a nice boat has holes drilled in the deck for a freakin tower.

The one in Alabama is #34. Appears to be in "fair" shape. Owner uses it for a "regular ski boat" -aaahhhhh. Gonna try to trade him a "regular ski boat" that is 10 years newer.....we'll see

I know of one located on Deep Creek Lake MD. Great looking boat. This summer I will stop by thier dock and pass on CCF.com. I think - not 100% - it was for sale a few seasons ago. As of last summer it was still on the lake.

That's why the Silver is for sale. I priced it at a point where I can let it go but if it doesn't sell, no big deal. I'm happy owning it for awhile.

I know exactly where you are coming from, the Paragon was an awesome boat in particular because it was the ONLY one in existance in that color but it just was not practical for an everyday boat and I just could not see changing anything from original, hence my reason for selling. It was somewhat comforting that it found a great new owner (Chuck) who really appreciates it as much as we did plus he lives close by and allows me visitation rights!
