My son and his buddies are convinced the tower on my Fish Nautique would work well to pull from. Its through bolted and supported very well. The gunnels of these boats are very strong. The boat puts out a monster wake and with tabs I can plane at 16 mph.

I never graduated beyond 2 skis so I dont have a good answer for my son on this one.

Whats everybodys opinion. thanks.

Seen it done before. The four connection points help to distribute the force. Imagine it is a big wake.

Can you sway the tower side to side? If you cannot, then I wouldn't see why you couldn't. Is there a good rigid point to attache the rope? I'd love to see the photos when you do it. BKH

Thanks for the replys, no you cant sway the tower, it's acutally built to handle a upper station. I can attach a pull to the center of the upper horizonital support. I know the tower is solid to pull from, but would it be too high for the boarder??

No, it will not be too high. The tower on
my boat is 7 feet off the floor. Yours can't be much higher. Mike Seipel is now selling a 5 or 6 foot extension to go on top of regular
towers putting the rope 12 or 13 feet off the floor. You'll be fine in terms of heights. BKH

I second what BKH says. There's a boat here in Austin that uses a tower extension. I've never seen them wakeboard behind it, they are always on an air chair, but the thing has got to be 12 ft above the boat minimum. It may take them a bit to get used to the rope angle and wake shape. What does your wkae look like @ around 20mph?

Try wakesurfing, with that boat you wont even need a rope!

the easiest way to get rid of the hard water is to head south where the waters are soft and warm

always gotta story.. and alot of friends anyways a real good friend of mine has a 26' Boston whaler that his very very rich girlfriend bought him. at one time this guy was a panhandler and lived under bridges. he stoled a completely outfitted service truck and drove it up to a Pagen fest on the East coast and sold it. well he ran into this woman that was an heir to international paper and has been with her since 1990. the only problem is that he has a severe drinking problem, starts his day with 3 double Jacks and goes from there. (sh*t like this dont happen to the ordinary guy)
He was down in West Virginia gambling on his way back up from Florida towing his boat behind his dually truck and was done gambling on his way back to Ohio. and he told me as he was driving a car pulled next to him and was flaging him to pull over as quick as he could and he did. well it turns out that he went under a low bridge when he left from gambling and whacked the tower right off of the boat which it is very similar to the one on the FN. It was being dragged by all of the cables and wires that were attached to it. he told me he was a good mile away when he finally pulled over. I ended up ordering a complete tower which was covered by insurance for $7500.00 total, it ripped all the bolts and anything attached. He is in a bad way right now and i dont think he would mind me writing about it, I didnt mention his name

I saved the old tower for that reason, it was still useable with some fabricating, but one of these good ole boys with a pick up truck swiped it from the side of my shop, when the economy is in a slump all the scrap starts to dis-appear.

Heee he good story, I cant imagine being that irresponsable. Or having a woman that had that kind of money. I remember on more than one ocasion Brenda and I only buying a 1 dozen minows instead of the regular 4 dozen just cause we ran out of quarters. These were some of our best fishing trips. Seems those perch know when your running shy on bait and get more agressive. When spring finally gets here I think I will pull my son and his buddys around a little in the F.N. If for no other reason than to post the pics here.

she needs that kinda money to get some lovin, and my friend will also agree, he calls it his duty to give her some love once a month. she is a nice woman but she is really out there, she was at my shop 2 weeks ago to say hi and she was trying to go out the back door to get out and she insisted that she came in that way. When Y2k was near she spent close to $50k on solar panels, back up generater and all the electrical, all new propane appliances and anything else associated with the world ending....very strange, she really is a saint.......with some doe
