I can't make the 2nd weekend in august, but since I didn't actually make it last year I wouldn't give me much of a vote...

I will have to add that Keiths lake is great since its 2 ponds in one. It will allow one area for skiing and one for socializing. No matter where it is though, im sure it will be a blast no matter where it is!!!! Last year was great, and sure this year going to be even better!!!! Great job Keith!!!!!

Keith,
I received your E-Mail reply today and I will get in touch with you by phone and see if we can put this together for Lake Ossipee. I'm sure this is going to be a good time no matter where it happens. I can't ever remember having a bad time boating!(...except the time the aircraft carrier I was on caught on fire) Lee |

I'm down with Little Ossipee. Can we confirm soon? I will probably find a spot on a campground. My family is down with the camping idea. My vote is August 11th-12th weekend.
Cool Stuff, Ken |

It took me a few minutes to realize yesterday that the lake we're referring to is located in Maine, not New Hampshire. We'll iron out the minor details soon!

Hey Ken,
Actually, I think we are talking about two different lakes... Little Ossipee, the lake you and I talked about, is in Maine. The Ossipee Lake Lee is suggesting in NH. Kyle |

Yes, as Kyle said, Little Ossipee is in ME Ossipee Lake is in NH. Both are an option. Kyle emailed me awhile ago about Little Ossipee. Latest conversation is with Lee about Ossipee Lake (NH). I owe Lee a phone call to work out more detials but I think it might really well.
I will keep everyone updated. -Keith |

Is Ossippee the lake right off Rt 16 near Ward's Boat House? If it is I know a guy who had two camps side by side with 150 ft of sandy beach out front.Maybe if he still has them he'd be willing to rent them?

Mike,
I hadn't thought of that. Does anyone have the specifics on the NH boating license? Who needs one, who doesn't? Thanks, Keith |

Ya... I forgot about everyone now needing the boating license for New Hampshire...more damn money for the Governor. The requirements are at www.boat-ed.com/nh. You take a on-line course for $15. and then have to take an exam at one of the scheduled locations throughout the state.Up until this past December you just needed to take the online course for the license. How the hell is someone in North Dakota who Summers in New Hampshie supposed to get a license??

I just spoke with Lee. He has a message in the NH fish and game to get the details but at this point, I'd say NH is out.
Kyle, we'll focus on Little Ossipee and my family lake, Skokis Lake. -Keith |

My understanding from last year is that if you have a valid boater's license, you dont need a special one for NH. I am licensed in CT- do other states not require licenses?

I have an E-Mail into the Hew Hampshire Dept. of Safety requesting information on what if any other state certificates are recognized in New Hampshire. But since Maine does not yet require any licensing it only makes sense to have NE'07 there.

FYI... I went to the Massachusetts site at www.boat-ed.com and found that they have a certificate required for anyone under 16 years old. It also states, "Take the official Massachusetts boating safety Certification Exam for only $20. You'll receive a boater education card that is NASBLA-approved and recognized by other state boating agencies."
Just not sure if N.H. accepts it but I will find out. Lee |

If anyone is going to take a course, you should take a coast guard course as it is honored by all states,I believe.Everyone who operates a boat in NH has to have one now.
You used to be able to take the test online, but unfortunately so many people cheated on it that they stopped doing it.It's too bad because the course is a great idea, but it just goes to show you by the amount of cheating that unsafe boaters will not be deterred by having to get a license. Mike |
