Up a new starter solenoid for my 1980 ski nautique with a 351?

Start relay? Try your local auto supply. Or Skidim What happened to the old one? If it stuck (contacts welded) in the engaged position, you have a low voltage problem caused by bad cables, connections and or using a deep cycle battery.
