Friend of mine just had his water pump go out at 250 hours. Granted it was an indmar engine on an axis boat not a pcm and it was a known defective pump on a recall. Here is a pic of his pump.

But it did get me thinking. My 2008 nautique 210 now has over 1,100 hours. The oem part is about $135 bucks and it is super easy.

As part of my annual winterizing I pull the raw water pump and serpentine belt and store for winter anyway. then to replace the actual engine water pump is an easy access to 4 bolts.

what do you think replace or don't bother on mine with 1,100 hours?

1100 hours in 9 seasons, respectable if you lived in FLA, damn impressive for a Minn boat!!
Personally would not bother unless it needs it, if it spins easily and has no lateral play leave it alone.

I agree to leave it and besides spinning freely, not leaking at the seal.

Are you talking about the raw water pump, or circulation pump that is sometimes referred to as the water pump (especially in the automotive industry) picture looks like a circ pump
