I was hoping to be allowed back on Team Red (I was on Team Cranberry once and it wasn't the same). I've been shopping for a new to me boat for a few weeks when my brother called me to say he saw a Barefoot Nautique on the side of the road for sale. I was looking for a 93 & up Ski Nautique, but I went and looked at this Barefoot, and this thing is immaculate. 600 hours, but looks brand new. Interior is in great shape. This is my first BFN so I'm not sure of how I am going to like it, but I love the look of it, and it has a Big Block Chevy in it. I tried, but couldn't stop myself from buying it.

Can't go wrong with a 'Scarlett' Red and Grey boat that looks like that. GREAT find and welcome back to the best Team that CCFan has to offer. VERY nice addition to Team Red!

Wow. Very nice! Boats like that don't turn up on the side of the road often. Great find. Welcome back!

Wow thats a really nice boat!
congrats!
If you are a barefooter you will really like the skiing behind it. The table behind it is very soft!

I'm not a Barefooter I like to ski, that is why I will have to see if I'm going to keep it. I work with a guy who barefoots before work and occasionally at lunch. He is trying to get me to learn. I don't have an excuse now.
"Old, Tall, Fat, Bald guy tries to learn Barefooting" Doesn't seem like a good idea.

Beautiful boat. You're not gonna like the ski wake or handling much though, coming from a ski nautique.. Bfn's are more fun in a straight line.

Prop on the boat looks more like an OJ to me.

No it has 2 fins

Prop on boat and spare are both Federal 14x14.

I probably will keep it for the rest of this season. Really looking to get a 97 or newer Ski for next season. I am a Chevy fan and all of the 9 Correct Craft boats I have had had a Chrysler or Ford engine in it. Not that I have a problem with those, but BB Chevy

Plenty of fins, no problem tracking straight! It's the turning that's not so hot.

Wes
Welcome back to Team Red
Wow, is that thing nice. It looks like it came from Minnesota? Like was said before, boats like that rarely show up on the side of the road. The seller must not be familiar with Craigslist.
You are going to like that boat for cruising, footing, and most towed sports, Slalom skiing, not so much.
I've probably asked you this before, but where in Michigan are you? You should bring that bad boy to the Bucketed race, or next month's Lockwood River Roar. Lots of BFN's at both events.
Play hard, life's not a trial run.

Very sharp. Is there more "floor space" in a BFN compared to SN 87'-89, or the dash is farther in the bow? There's looks to be more space between the motor box and drivers seat than my 87'ski. Even if I had the seat all the way forward.....

The 87-90 Barefoot is longer than the 87-89 Ski (all Barefoots are longer) and most notably between the pylon and the observer seat.

It did come from Minnesota. The guy I bought it from drove to Minnesota to pick it up for another guy, but that deal fell through, so he sat it out by the road at his son's house and that is where my brother saw it. He didn't give me the Cypress Garden's story, but instead told me that it was the personal boat of the guy who owns Manheim Auction's.

I live in Davison- between Flint and Lapeer. I would love to take it to the Buckethead race. I've been watching quite a few videos of the race- One Bad Azz Race. Not familiar with Lockwood, but I want to go there too.

I remember that you bought a very similar condition BFN a while back, that is a very good looking boat.

No big deal, I paid way too much for it $8,500.00, but even though my head said walk away my feeling was that you don't see them in this condition and it was "calling my name". Can't wait to fire it up.
