They are very excited. I haven't used their services much yet since I've been stripping varnish and paint but they are eager for the process of putting it back together. They tell anyone that listens that it will be their boat!

Yes and no. The entire assembly is out of the boat but the wheel is still attached. My damn day-job is getting in the way of fast progress.

Darren,
Once you loosen the wheel nut on the column, you may need a puller. The Sheller wheel hub is tapered. If you are lucky, your wheel will have threaded holes in the hub. If a puller is needed, be real careful to apply pressure around the entire hub. Do not use an arm type puller. Some fabrication may be needed to make a plate for the hub backside. |
