I agree but to be more exact, it would have been a Walnut or dark English Oak color. David, take a look at the reference section. Not much but there are a couple of shots that do show the fake wood grain.

I would assume it's made of the same stuff as the Mustangs from late 68 through '70- someone with a Cuda should be able to confirm. If that's the case, it's a fake simulated wood grain.
