In response to your question.

Finally took the 82' 2001 and the 2015 Cherokee on a couple of 300 mile trips.

16 MPG @ 65MPH (27MPG without the boat),

Solid down the highway & strong up a steep boat ramp.

Stops fine. It can however get a bit pushy.

Good for this boat.

It ain't pretty but it's better than sleeping in the back of a pickup and it gets about 10 mpb (miles per beer).

The camper picture above made me go dig up these from 2006 at Shelbyville. That's Hollywood with the assist.in loading because there's no way I was going to get out of that drivers seat and trust the parking brake.

That's even before the 81 got her sexy trailer. Crazy thinking about how many far off adventures we've had with the ccfan group over the years. Going on 10 years now hanging with this group of misfits. Time to toast to the next 10.

Annnd,

I got stuck in my driveway this weekend. My tires are toast and I have new ones sitting in the garage but drove 1100 miles on thurs/friday and wanted to really wear the old ones out. Luckily I had a couple more 4x4 vehicles to get me moving again.

It was funny/ not so embarassing since nobody was around but my dad and my tahoe were about 100 ft from it with a tow strap in the back. That and it was only about 4" of mud.

It was just snot slick, my tires are worn out, and uphill with a boat.

FYI HW: The Prop was in the back seat. Thank ya!

Time to post pictures of the new tow vehicle. The Bounder above has gone on to serve the rest of it's working life pulling a bass boat, seems like an unfitting end for such a proud servant to our Correct Crafts for 11 years but the offer was right and it is gone.

In the meantime we purchased a 2006 Dynamax 26' RV. What an outstanding rig with only 5685 miles on it when we picked it up. Pretty much brand new second hand. It was purchased at an estate auction after the original owner passed away. The guy that bought it put new tires all around and serviced everything in the rig to get it up to snuf after sitting for 6 years in storage.   Dynamax is much higher end than we were looking for but the deal was almost too good to be true. So much so that until we actually saw the rig I was still thinking it was an internet scam. Seems the guy we bought it from just wanted it to flip, he did a lot of maintenance to it, made himself a few grand and we got a smoking deal, everybody wins.

It came out of Baton Rouge La so last Friday we flew down there and Boat Doc and Karen picked us up at the airport, we spent a great night with them and then went on to see the RV.Saturday am, It was there, it was for real and even nicer than I could have imagined so we hopped in and drove it 1000 miles home.

Np pictures of it hooked up yet but we'll be camping and towing this weekend!

That's cool Alan, looks like it will be a little more driver friendly than the Bounder.
