Hi all!

I have been learning to foot in an older suit. It was second hand, I didn't want to make a big investment if it wasn't going to work out. Learning has gone well and I am ready to make an investment in the sport... well that and the old suit doesn't offer the best protection so my hips are a little beat up.

I am looking for a shorts and suit combo that offers great protection. What are your recommendations?

Thanks!

I have always loved eagle. With that said, this spring I picked up a vortex vapor on clearance for $100. Lake Elmo sports still has some left.

I really like my Barefoot international Iron Suit and Shorts. I feel nothing in them when I am skipping across the water...

Thanks for all the input.

I went with the Eagle Super Comp Shorts and an Eagle suit. Should be way better than the old second hand suit and no padded shorts (ouch!)... plus I started doing deep water starts with a handle off the boom instead of tumble up starts with just the boom. Should stop the bruising on the front of my leg and my hips.

Thanks again!

Bought intensity barbed wire last december.... it takes some water between the pading and the neoprene..and makes my ass look fat. Also the neoprene got separated from the liner in the nut area... paid $99

The vapor at $100 came out 1 month after my purchase...

so go with another brand..

I recently bought the BI iron shorts to use under the drysuit..makes my butt glide smoothly, with no pain....

Kap,
I wish my shorts made my ass look fat. As it is, my ass makes my ass look fat.
