I bought this boat in 2001 after it was professionally restored. I only used it a few times a summer and a few summers it was not used at all. Boat was stored in a covered area and was shrink-wrapped when not in use.
New fuel pump, gas tank, and hoses were installed a few years ago to keep up with the reformulated gas. Since I got the boat, all the repairs and maintenance have been done by my brother, who is a boat engine repairman by trade.
The trailer is original, except for a modification to the hitch. A winch was added and the hitch was extended to make the trailer easier to maneuver.
The boat was recently taken out after 4 years of storage. Everything was gone through and tuned up. The boat was used for an afternoon and did not have problems. It ran as great as it looks! This boat is fantastic fun and it’s unique look gets a lot of attention! The Holman-Moody racing engine makes this boat an even better find!
I hate to see it go, but I just don’t use it anymore and with a baby on the way I will use it less.
