In the winter of 2011-2012, my dad and I found this sweet boat for sale. Picked it up with a trailer for a nice price. We took it home to do some cleaning and upgrades, because he already has a nice yacht, I wanted my own boat to sleep on with the wife and kid.

First things first. The boat was a one owner boat and the owner had the 454 rebuilt and bored 30 over, so technically it''s a 460. That rebuild took place 128 hours before we bought it. I guess the old man who had it, used it as a fishing boat, but hardly used it in the past 4 years the port-a-potty is still wrapped in the original plastic, never used.

This Correct Craft was plane-Jane with nothing on it but a GPS/finder and seats. So I put a nice Kenwood head unit with MTX speakers and a 4-channel amp on board, EZ-ACDC shore power kit along with a battery charger, memory foam pad for the bed, and AC for the cuddy.

As for the engine, I had to do some upgrades, like changing the points distributer to an HEI electronic, which gave me 1000 more RPMs (not good) so I changed the prop about 3 different times to find the right size and the prop was a hair too big, I could only max out at 3800 RPM... so I put a bigger carb. High rise manifold, high flow fuel pump and K&N spark arrestor on it over this past winter and WOW, Max 4800 RPM @ 49.5 mph on GPS.

A great family do-all boat. We keep it up in Marblehead, OH. We take my son to the beach, tubing, fishing, or just relaxing. It has a 90 gal. Gas tank on it and we putt around the islands all weekend long and maybe burn 36-40 gal. Of fuel. It also has a nice Bimini top with a morning cover and glass on the sides so you can completely enclose the boat.

Last weekend I took some friends perch fishing, and between the three of us we caught 217 perch and one 22 inch walleye in three days. Love this boat!! This Winter I’m going to put Trim tabs on it to help with speed and efficiency. I’m aiming for 50 mph.
