My Step-father and I have been working on resurrecting this beautiful boat. He rescued it from sitting stagnant from one of his neighbors on his lake. He was able to wake the motor up with a carburetor rebuild and replacement of a few parts such as a new fuel pump, battery, and battery relay.
After sitting for so long the boat was in pretty bad shape aesthetically. Together we removed gauges, glass, and steering wheel. Painted the dash a deep metallic grey, cleaned up the gauges, and painted the glass frame a flat black. With a nice pressure wash, she was starting to really come back to life.
My fiance and I decided to move to Clearwater Fl, in the process he decided to surprise us by giving us the boat to go along with us!
Since then I have installed a Big Air Ice Tower equipped with Kicker cans and a 10" sub for our wakeboarding enjoyment, laid down some fresh carpet, reupholstered the side and back panels, and installed a new OJ dripless shaft seal.
This is my first boat, and I must say I am a believer! I have had more fun out on this boat more so than any other recreation I have ever experienced.
I have ran into a few (many) problems along the way most in which I have referenced this forum for solutions with great results.
I'm currently a full time student and feel as though I have learned more valuable life lessons from owning/working on the boat than I will learn my entire college career.
