Here is my first Ski Nautique. I saw this kind of boat the first time in Carinthia (Austria) by Murenys Waterski School on Wörthersee. I think in 1993. I loved it at first sight, I knew, I have to have one - even I was only 15 years old.
Many years later I saw a picture of it again (you have to know: I live in Neulengbach on Lower Austria and there is no water nearby, just the danube floats by Tulln about 40 Kilometers from my home, but it is not really possible to let a boat in, you have to trailer everytime). However, I saw one and I had to have it.
So I bought it with about 5500 Euros. I drove it one time, built the trailer myself and brought it home.
There it stood for 2 years - not really well loved since every rain drained in and water was in the boat high - I drilled a hole in the back to release the water. Then I married, and my wife said "lets go". I trailored it to the danube and put it into water. Then home again.
Next year the engine wouldn''t start. It is nearly not possible to find someone here who can repair the engine, eventually one person claimed he can do, and he did. After that a lot of black smoke after every start, not possible to idle speed and nearly no government allownis to drive.
