My family got our first boat in 1978. It was an Aristocraft 19 with a Mercruiser 470 Aluminum block 4 cylinder with 170HP. We were members of a ski club that used Mastercrafts. We had a choice between the new Arstocraft and a year old Mastercraft. The price was around $4800. Due to family size, we got the roomier. A couple of years ago my parents gave me the Aristocraft. Had not run since 2001. I got it running last summer. Had a great time on the lake. I always longed for the Old inboard with the throaty V8. I promised myself if I ran across an old fixer, cheap enough, I would jump on it. Well I found it in January. To be continued...
