Boating is one of the few things that gets the whole family doing something fun and active together. We all started this venture without any boating knowledge but we learned as we went... like always ask dad if the drain plug is in before launching.

Out first boat was an 87 Martinique. I learned to wakeboard on that boat and the kids learned to ski and kneeboard. Tons of great memories. Next I found a deal on an 89 Ski Nautique that I couldn’t pass up. Loved the handling and performance of the Ski but just not enough room for the whole family plus friends and our stuff.

Then we found that one that was just right for us. The Excel is kind of a blend between the Martinique and the Ski Nautique. It holds all of us plus friends, handles the waters of Lake Watauga just fine, great pull for wakeboarding, kneeboarding and not too bad for skiing.

Mostly, it helps us to build memories of good times together as a family. What can top that?
