I grew up outside of Chicago, and our family would head up to the northwoods of Wisconsin every summer for a week or two. We would rent I/O’s or if we were lucky a decent outboard to ski behind. My brothers and I would salivate when a Nautique would pass by...the sound, the look, the way it cut through the water. We swore we’d pick one up one day.

Cut to 2008...I settled in Wisconsin, got a house on a lake, and picked up this beautiful 88 SN 2001. The boat was in great shape with only 250 hours on it. I’ve got no skills boat-maintenance-wise, but I’m learning my way -- did my first oil change and replaced the rub rail last summer...baby steps.

Everything I thought about Nautiques looking from the outside in has proved true after owning one. Awesome machine. Looking forward to many good years with this boat.
