Bought the boat in 2007 from the original owner in Elgin IL. Had one scary moment, when I lost steering one afternoon on Beaver Dam Lake, WI. I thought the cable must have come loose, but something inside me said check the rudder - I dove below the boat and sure enough - it was gone. Back in the boat, still in "shock" and pondering how the heck I was going to steer the boat I suddenly realized that not only is there a missing rudder, but a hole in the boat as well! We swam the boat about 200 yards to shore, and I managed to get it partially on an old boat lift, wedged a towel in the hole, and finally towed back to my trailer. Lesson learned: when buying a used boat, might not be a bad idea to check the wire ties and set screw on the rudder!
