Found this jewel at Ron’s Marine in Ohio 2002. I was there with a friend that had bought a new boat from Ron and was just twitching for it to arrive. She was buried behind other boats in the back of Ron’s warehouse and a little dusty, inside was the org owners manual and a wadded up cover that turned out to be a very nice sunbrella rig and a white bimini w/cover that was brand new. A 2nd owner 25th anniversary edition 2001. The previous owner had left it to his daughter who did not use it. With 388 hrs on her she was well maintained with meticulous records bordering on obsessive with every little detail you could imagine that was ever done to it right down to each screw added or replaced, detailed check lists for winterizing and recommissioning, including hand drawn fabrication schematics of removable swim platform brackets, folding trailer tongue, adding a transom ski eye, and a wildwood surge brake set up. Ron said "it’s very nice, if it were red and white I would keep it".
I can only think that others must have felt the same way for this boat to be just sitting. I was not hot on the gray at first, love it now. But it’s condition, and the care it was given by the previous owners sold me. I made her an offer and towed it home that day. I don’t have to tell you guys the feeling you get using these boats, it is like nothing else.
