My Uncle and I purchased this 1998 176 from New England Correct Craft in the fall of 06.
I had been thinking about a 176 for a while. Until we redo it, our garage limits us to a 176. Craig @ NECC called me to let me know he was taking a 176 in trade and wanted to know if I’d be interested. After buying a new car the week before, I wasn’t in the market for a boat, but I couldn’t pass up what Craig had to offer… Thankfully my Uncle was able to go in on the boat with me.
The boat has only 119 hours on the motor. I should point out that, instead of the 351 PCM Carb w/ 260hp, this 176 has the GT-40 w/ 310hp!
Needless to say, my uncle and I are really looking forward to summer!
A HUGE thanks to Craig Warner at NECC for thinking of me and taking care of me and my uncle on this boat.
We’ll be picking this up soon. I’ll update the Diary with some shots of it on the water.
