I’ve grown up skiing behing Nautiques since my dad bought his first orange 1972 Ski Nautique in the fall of 72. My dad loved skiing and luckily my dad being a school teacher, we got out quite a bit in the summers growing up. I bought this boat from a guy in Minnesota back in 1997 with almost 1100 hours on it. I’ve had it ever since and have loved every minute of it. It now has 1734 hours on her and I’ve never had any mechanical problems. This boat starts as good today as I’m sure it did the day it was purchased off the show room floor! The floors are all original along with everything else on her. Some of the interior has been refinished with the same original Correct Craft material.

Now I live on the Rock River in Northern Illinois and enjoy taking my own family out skiing. I’m still old school and enjoy slalom, trick, barefooting and shoe skiing. My kids love wake boarding, saucering and tubing (tubing was something my Dad brainwashed into me that is not tolerated behind a tournament boat!). Tubing is what got my youngest daughter to finally ski. The way I look at it, I get to drive my boat just that much longer!

Nautiques have always made a great boat and I am definitely a proud owner of mine. As much as I would like to own a newer Nautique, I love this boat and don’t know if I could ever part with her! Luckily for me, my wife loves her too!
