The new prop is much larger than the original one I had on my boat. Has anyone noticed how close the prop sits to the guard rail on the bottom. Has anyone had any problems with the prop hitting the guard?

I have a feeling they didn't lap it on but rather just torqued the s**t out of it! I haven't gotten an Acme in a couple years but they all used to come with a lapping recommendation sheet in the box. But, we do know a prop shop isn't going to read anything concerning how to install a prop! |

I'd take it off & check the ID for signs of being lapped. Or call them. I skipped this step & the prop came loose. Don't take the chance!

Clearance is Clearance and there is no way the prop is going to come in contact with the trailer. 1/2" or 3" it's still not going to hit it.
