I am about to take about a long trip to a family lake house. I was just wondering what things I need to take. I wantto be prepared for any road mishaps. Just some ideas!!

Brad,
The "family" lakehouse? Is it inlaws?
If so, take a half gallon of liquor and a banket to sleep in the boat with.

some of the things I always put in the truck beside the normal tools is a twelve volt test light or ohm meter, cordless drill, electrical wiring terminals(connectors) and a battery charger.

Spare tire, and a jack that you are sure
will lift the trailer properly. If you
really want to be safe, and extra set of wheel
bearings.

I'm sure you have tools and favorite parts
you carry in the boat. But, if the boat
breaks down, you're on the water you get
a tow in to the Marina - not bad, but could be
worse.

If the trailer breaks down, your on the side
of some narrow road, cars zipping by, 100 degrees outside, you get the picture.

A lug wrench to fit the trailer. Once the trailer is jacked up and the spare tire in hand is the wrong time to find out the wrench for the truck isn't the same size of trailer.

You may want to go ahead and relub the hub bearings before you start the trip.

Some duct tape and a match, it always worked for McGiver.

Take a few of your CC buddies with you. Send me a map!

Better yet, just post the map on the forum.
