How about a link to the youtube regarding the engine angle. Maybe if I watch it, I might pick up why they are concerned with the angle. Confused

I would say no. 
Everything is based off the shaft angle, when you align the motor and transmission to the shaft that will give you the motor angle.
The motor/xmission is movable the shaft angle is not. (Once centered)

Ready to install a new  transmission in a 1990 Nautique , single exhaust. Any suggestions? A U Tube for different boat said to measure the angle of the engine. Must this be done? Randy
