Is there anything I can do to make my 89 sound close to my 78?

Several guys have removed the muffler & installed a custom made Y-pipe in it's place. Search TRBenj's threads on the site for pictures.

Can't get a flat wake and good sound without a lil elbow grease. |

89 is a great boat that has a lot of advantages over the previous 2001 models.
Standard rotation engine that sits low into the bilge with less angle. 1.23 trans gives a boost to hole shot and performance all round. The single exhaust is seen by some as a disadvantage but if you spend long hours in the boat sking etc. a loud exhaust gets old latter in the day. If you are just cruising for a short amount of time it might be seen as a con. |
