Hey Salty, Tell the boys not to worry, I am bringing my personal Physician, and "Croc Doc" whose very presence on the river strikes fear in all "widlife". Looking forward to meeting you all.

Salty, I know your three boys are going to have a blast (mon and dad too). Gators...no problem. All those V8s runnning around will keep them at bay.
Have a safe trip!

Leaving from today around 1:45pm and should get in around 7 or 8pm depending on how many times I will have to stop for my wife to relieve herself.   I may have to hide the bottled water and diet cokes!

Looking forward to reuniting with everyone!

Donald - Campfire and Apple Pie. Can't wait!

Reid - warm up the Shot Ski!

Sweet - scare off the aligators for my kids! Thats all they've been talking about for the last several weeks!

Marty,

We will be serving some of Apple Pie. It has been aging for two days. It also helps with Gator Bites.

You will missed and talked about.

I WAS ALWAYS MORE PARTIAL TO ANDY... I WAVED TO THE MAN SUNDAY. SOME OTHER THINGS I NOTICED WERE MISSING SUNDAY WHILE I WAS OUT THERE AS WELL THE, NO WAKE ZONE SIGN ENTERING SILVER GLEN WAS GONE USE GOOD JUDGEMENT APPROACHING, I NOTICED IT WAS QUITE A BIT SHALLOWER THAN A FEW MONTHS AGO. LAKE TEMP WAS 77, MIGHTY WARM FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR. 74-75 CONSISTANT ALL THROUGH THE RIVER . ALSO SOME OF THE NAVIGATION LIGHTS MAY BE OUT IN THE RIVER BETWEEN SR44 AND SR 40 USE CAUTION IF YOUR RUNNING AT DUSK.

Okay SJRR attendees...... Got a call from the boat dr as he and the Boat Nurse are already there. Went for 4 hr ride today in the Starflight and said the conditions down there are picture perfect. NON-ETHANOL gas on the water at either marina they went to is going for $5 a gallon. He had a long talk with a FLA GAME WARDEN and told him what was going on this week. Billy said that "Barney" was a super nice guy but did tell Billy that the natives had fits over all the loud boats last year and that some were running faster than idle speeds in the no wake zones. SLOW DOWN to not even a ripple or HE WILL WRITE YOU A CITATION at the low cost of $187.00 a pop. They also are going to keep a close on on the 100ft between vessels law unless you are overtaking another and you'd better keep off shore 100 ft also. Pay very close attention to speeds in the Manatee zones as well. 35mph at day 25 at night. "Barney" will be there Sat morning before the run to Hontoon to brief the skippers on all this but I wanted to give you the heads up for those on the water before then. Let's all have a great safe and ticket free SJRR. Watch out for "Barney" as he will be watching!

Here are a few teaser pics from the Boat Nurse!

Ok - I pulled the "Yellow Banana" out of her winter hibernation and ran her for 30 minutes or so on Lake Nottley to ensure I didn't crack a manifold over the winter before pulling her all the way down to the River Run.

Here she sits in my driveway awaiting the trip to my second SJRR!!!   Leaving around noon on Thursday and should get in around 7pm - staying in the Eagles Nest with my wife and three boys.

I got picked once for jury duty, when I was chosen for my interview, I told them "I think our legal system is backwards. I think everyone is guilty until proven innocent, I mean they got caught right?" "Thank you Mr. Hectus for your time, you are excused".   YAY! Problem solved.

Hi,
Went over to the silver river today, Got there late so did not go all the way to the head, Though I had some good pics all I got was my wife's thumb. My camera is different than hers? Same phone? Anyway water depth no problem, There are a few logs to watch out for I almost shined one up.

Here's a teaser pic for all you northerners getting ready to hook the trailer up! 85 and BEAUTIFUL today! This photo was taken at Bird Island which is on the Butler chain of lakes just about 45 minutes south of where we will all be staying. Water is brisk but very refreshing, I skinned it today and it felt great. Water was so clear it looks like I'm in 4" of water! Next weekend should be more of the same.

Okay, we're only days away and the weather is looking like it's going to be in our favor. Time to put the finishing touches on your Correct Craft today and get your gear packed and ready to go. This is truly going to be the best River Run yet so all I can say is I've been excited and anxious for weeks as things have fallen into place with what little planning goes on behind the scenes. "River Rumbles III" is complete ready to go, 'Miss Scarlett' has new iridiums, new fuel supply line, all prettied up for the Run, new Michelin's on the tow vehicle and getting the rest of the stuff packed and ready for departure on Thursday Morn.

Here's a list of folks that are coming that we know of so for final head counts. If I forgot someone pipe up add your name to the list. See ya on the River!
