Kristof, just tell them you need the first two weeks off , then send a E-Mail that you made a detour to Louisiana and your being held for ransom........
This alone will buy you another two weeks that you and Chantel can spend here in Cajun Country.
By that time we will announce our ransom demands of a 100 kilo's of chocolate.Shipping and handling along with the required U.N. approval, will buy you another week.
Your inside buddies should be told that you will be back before Dec. 15.Ya'll need the vacation and we need the culture exchange.
You both can stay here while negotiations are being completed.......Billy/Karen

john...We want to make it up to GL next year also, so maybe we can ride up to Reids, and rest for a day or two before we hook up with them for the 2nd half of the ride, then all you have to do is drive down to TN, that way you can skip going all the back to FL, I bet we could talk a few others into driving along with us....so what do you say Adamt, are you up for a road-trip, it will be a lot of fun!!

Kristof..can ride up with us, we will have to teach him how to drive on the right side of the Road!!

Careful Mark, unless you drive like we do in Chicago, you'll find Kristof drives on the same side as you. I think only the UK ,Australia,New Zealand and Japan still drive on the "wrong" side.

MM; I would love a road trip with you guys but we have to work our time around when Work Camps are over. Might not leave us enough time to drive. Bet that Kristoff and Chantal would love a road trip that included a stop-over at the Pinkham Compound. They would also get to see alot of the US that way. Then you guys could all stop in Tennessee and we'll bring Our Belguim visitors back to Florida.

Gary: I've seen how you guys drive. Just had Mojo at the cart track this past weekend...big stogie in his mouth and trying to push us all even AdamT's kids off the track!

John, that sounds like a great idea! That way, we get to meet other guys on here as well and see a nice portion of the US.
Man, there will be lots of phone calls to come

Yup, we drive on the same side as you guys... that is, when we're sober ROFLOL

Billy, that hostage situation sounds pretty good to me. You think they would fall for that one...?

Who knows, maybe we'll like it so much over there, we won't even wanna leave... (Will have to become US citizens and me join the US army then... )

You already know how to speak english, but if you go to Billy's they speak some foreign rogue english down there (and they think we talk funny?)....Billy ends up spelling a lot of words for me in our conversations.

just a warning.

Billy, I'm in the position of honor here. You 2 are the pros, and if we were all working on the same project...I'd be fetching the wrenches!

Now we need to twist a couple of arms(Kevin & Pete) to find what's behind this. LOL

Kristof and others ....

The dates for the fourth annual Midwest Reunion, taking place in Green Lake, WI, will be July 17-19, 2009.

For those who already made reservations at the Bay View, I had asked that they duplicated your reservation for this weekend before we left this past July as I anticipated a date change. It would be worth checking to see if you already have a reservation for the July 17-19 weekend before you duplicate it.

The Lakeside Motel (accross from the boat ramp, in front of the Goose Blind) is wide open with all 15 rooms available. To make reservations, call Becky at 920-294-3318 and mention you're with the CorrectCraftFan.com group.

Starting making your travel plans now for Green Lake 2009!

Those staying at the campground can call 920-294-6380 to reserve your spot.

Thanks,
-Keith

Steve, the problem listening to Billy is our age, we can't hear those low notes.I told him this summer he has the voice of a radio announcer
I just got off the phone to Bill at the Bay View,he says there are not many rooms available for that weekend,so hopefully all that are going made doubles-

Brian, you did a very intense search to obtain the info listed. But to be fair to the rest of the site and not by any fault of your own , you need to add one more location.
Friday noon till some time Monday A.M. left side driving is the norm in Monterey La.
This is just a heads up in case any of you venture this far south.....Boat dr

Well, Bill at the Bayview has a problem! He has something like 17 rooms booked with CCfan'rs but they are for the preceding weekend! The 17th and 18th he has his normal golfing group so he only has 10 rooms available. He wouldn't take my reservation because he really doesn't know how to handle the situation! To help, I just called Becky at the Lakeside and made my reservation. For those of you that are planning on the Lakeside again, call now! Becky said she has several wedding groups pending for that weekend.

Hey Pete,
You are correct. I was aware of this and was in the process of reaching out to all those who had made reservations for the previous weekend to see what we could do.

There are in fact six rooms available for the Jul 17-19 weekend and there are eight existing reservations from the previous weekend, plus you Pete.

This is not ideal but given all the alternatives, it's the best situation. As I mentioned, there are plenty of other accommodations and Bill has agreed to let us all use his boat ramp (and boat parking I'm sure). I'm sure we can make it work.

Thanks for your understanding.

Keith,
I did make reservations at the Lakeside so that will help.

Another warning to anyone calling the Lakeside. Be prepared to be grilled by Becky. After informing her I was part of the CCfan group, it went something like this: Are you part of that Powers lake group or a friend of Chris Quinn? I had to explain to her that yes I'm in the same group BUT I'm really very quite, got in early and didn't drink in excess closing down the Goose Blind every night!!! She then said great - what's your credit card number.

Joe,
I spoke with Ken Reynolds just last week. It we want to stay in town, we'll need to stick to a post Labor Day weekend. Labor day is Sept. 7th this year. I was goning to leave it up to you guys ... stay in town and do it in September or move up the lake and shoot for an earlier weekend.

What does everyone think?

I thought where and when we were there last year was ideal. Marine Village had enough rooms and parking spaces for all of us. Restaruants and stores were within walking distance. The public boat launch was nearby. Hotel rooms were at off season prices. And the lake was relatively quiet being after Labor Day. I hear it's a zoo during the summer and it may be more difficult for us to assemble all in one place.

I'll be there regardless, unless you move it to one of the weekends when kids get dropped off for college.

I dont have a strong feeling on the date, except trying to work around a few friends of mine getting married this summer. I dont know if it being after school started had an effect on anyone that might have otherwise brought out the kids?

As for farther north, we did check out bolton landing and its pretty nice up there. I would say more places to ski, way closer to the bay they actually let you tie up in, more scenic, and yet still good places to eat and go out. That said I didnt see a place big enough to handle the whole group, and it seems most of the places cater to the regulars who keep thier boat there all summer and come up for the weekends. Unless something drops into your lap I dont know that moving north makes an earlier date any easier. Really the only major drawback to being in town is the 10 mile run up to be able to tie down, that is probably livable for most especially if we do a good job of meeting up first and moving the whole group north at the same time.

No,no,no Moj'. That's not the way its done.

This year, we need to find a old school bus (a short one, for CQ's sake), fill it with 10-12 mouth breathing, knuckle dragging, bed wetting goons (we know a few), a 1/2 bbl of Schlitz, a bottle of chardonnay, and spray paint 'Midwest Reid-tards' on the side.

That is exactly the way we need to represent this year!

yeah, they'll jus' love us up there this year....Ken's nightmare come to life, hahaha.

I wouldn't worry about the 'Midwest Reid-tards', they seem pretty tolerant of the politically incorrect over there. We saw this thing in Albany when we were on our way to Lake George last year.

Steve (Bwahahahahaha), yeah I guess "once you add alcohol" The short bus is all we could take out there hahahaha...

In all seriousness, I would like to get out there and party with you animals, and would try to tie it in with some business in the area if possible. I will have "zero" vaca days available to make the drive, let alone tow the SNOB...

I think I might be able to get a ride or pull for a case of that Schlitz, don't you Steve??
