Need some help from the group.
If you were going to prepare a kit for essential tools or parts to take with you or keep on the boat every week, what would they be? I usally take my whole tool box, but with two kids and my wife space is starting to become cramped. thanks in advance |

Does your wife know that you are telling everyone that she is starting to take up more space?

Shawn, I Love Hamlin's reply. "I don't care who you, are that's funny right there!".....
Seriously, I keep a toolbox on the boat on top of the battery box that has 1/2" drive sockets up to about 3/4" same for 1/4" drive up to 1/2. Wrenchs, flathead screwdrivers ( one acessaible all the time to tighten board bindings), phillips screw driver(2). Channel locks, needlenose pliers, visegrips, O-ring lube, New impeller, spare cotterpins, prop nut and key for prop, extra set of screws for the bimini top attach points, and an extra set of belts. I also keep a leatherman in the glove box for the quicker fixer upper in c ase I need it.... Mainly for the beer opener at the end of the day when I'm just too worn out to twist it off..... I KNOW their will be add-ins from the gang shortly so they will fill in where I left off... |

Maybe a spare hose clamp or 2, but that is a tight list with a couple of things I didn't think of.
Is this the original, and if so do you have a pic? I have the factory battery cover, but no box. |

Hmmmmm.... Might be Greg. Don't know but it fits nicely top. Did CC have such a thing for our year boats? I'll try to shoot a couple of pics today and email em or send em to you. Maybe just take all tools out and post or is that overdoing it. Course I guess that is a silly question to ask you.

wow...thanks tim for the list. Maybe i need to invest in stuffing a mechanic under the bow or i could just get a blackberry and have this site available at all times!
I haven't had many problems with the boat other than minor things, but just don't want to get stuck in the middle of the lake with my very small wife and tiny children who only take up minimal space (thanks Hamlin) |
