Does anyone know how to tighten the front lift ring in my '93 Sport Nautique? I can not figure out how to get to it. I took the drain plate out of the front bow area, that allowed me to reach the ring on the keel, but I can't reach the top lift ring. The only thing I can think of is some how removing the padding around the bow area, may be an access hole behind the padding in the front???

I think you are on the right track. Reach up a feel for nuts holding he padding in place.

Although I am unfamiliar with the open bows, it is a safe bet that the lifting rign and bow eye are connected together with steel plates and threaded rod. So, if you can get to the bow eye, you can pull down the lifting ring by tighting the nut on the plate behind the bow eye.

I thought I would resurrect this old thread.

I still have not figured out how to tighten this lift ring. I tried to send one of my kids up there but even the littlest couldn't make it.

The only thing I can think of is there must be an access hole being the padding. I just don't see how this padding comes off. Does anyone have experience with this?

if you reach up in there, there should be studs and nuts holding the paddin on, there has to be access to the ring
