Recently bought an 87 SN withthe 351w. It has a modern screw on type fuel filter/water separator that looks like an oil filter. It is from NAPA. The guy gave me a box of misc. parts including the origional large Fram fuel/water separator. It is about twice as long as the screw on filter. Inside is a small filter.

Which of the two is better?
It wouldn't be that hard if the balls weren't so far apart and the boat wasn't going so damn fast!

Screw on, the original has three times as many oppertunities to leak.
