Two boats (SN's) with their original PCM carbureted 351. Regarding wiring, and specifically the 8-pin gang connector near the electrical panel on the engine...any difference from '81 to '82?
Thx.

You mean engine harness to the boats harness? If so then no difference they are wired to a standard, my 69 Mustang and 77 Shamrock use the same harness

Exactly what I was after...thanks Gary.
I was getting a big spark when connecting the battery.....'82 drivetrain into an '81. Turns out the blower switch was on. Onward....thanks again.

Both of those years should have had the Prestolite alternator with an external regulator and probably an ammeter on the dash.

If that's the case the engine harness is the same.

Later years with Motorola/Mando alternators have a different harness due to alternator wiring.

Maybe Gary is saying the plugs will plug into the boat harness, which they will, but the alternator may not charge.

You must have the same alternator/voltage regulator setup on both boats Gary?
