I just bought a bimini for my 1996 ski nautique. I want to try to install it without drilling into the fiberglass. I saw a post (picture below) where someone had a 1997 and attached the front clips to the air ram (just in front of the windshield) and the back clips under the gunwale to the aft of the windshield. it looked great and did not require any drilling.
My questions is....how did he get it screwed onto the windshield? Just drill a couple of holes as I normally would have in the fiberglass and install to the black metal frame of the windshield right? Isn't there glass somewhere in that frame (part of the windshield).?
