I am at a loss... the last few times i have tried to start the boat nothing happens. Either the keypad will not light up at all or just starts blinking sporadically. The only way i have been able to get it started is to turn the master toggle switch off an on and switching the battery dial between Battery 1, 2 and both. After about an hour it usually cranks. Any thoughts? T

Sounds like a short in the toggle switch or simply a bad connection at the battery where you run assessories. I would first clean all those connections, test batt voltage and give it a go. If that does not do it...get a test light on the toggle as you switch it back and forth to see if it is consistanly working or not.
You can also test voltage on the battery dial ...if it looks good there(proper voltage) and the problem is present...look else where.

Are your batteries the originals? If so, they are probably due to be replaced. Not enough voltage to keep pad lit -activated.

I've got an 01 SAN that did a similar thing this summer. I agree to go through and check and clean your connections, but I think you're going to find the batteries shot. In my case I have no doubt that when I took it to the shop the mechanics ran them down running the stereo. BKH
