I'm looking into Correct Craft tower for my
2001 Sport Nautique. Has anyone ever installed
one themselves? What should I look out for?

SkiBum--Did you get any insight concerning your question outside of the forum? I just purchased a FCT for my 01 Sport and I am going to be installing it very soon. What should I watch out for? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Just installed a FCT on my 95 SN. It was pretty simple. Try to buy the tower that fits your boat and it should be easy. I had to fabricate all new lower legs to the tower to make it fit right. Set the back legs first and that will show you where the fronts need to be drilled. I used plywood to reinforce the back. Back-buttered w/ bondo and pressed up into the gunwale then drilled holes. I used a 1/2 drillbit in reverse to chamfer out the holes, always drill in reverse. The front feet have 4 inch round aluminum "washer" to spread the pull. Let me kno if i can be of any help. Very worth while project.
