She only got 400 hrs on her, but the throttle knob is feeling a bit worn.
I think I can fix it up with a little sand paper and some varnish - however, I'd like to do it off boat. My question is - how does it come off? Twist (which way?) Do I need to remove the entire control? I'm still very wet behind the ears when it comes to power boats... Thanks |

Hi Brian and welcome to the forum!
Unless the controls have been changed it should just screw off, standard threads - i.e. twist counter-clockwise to remove. Being 20 years old, it may be stuck pretty good and I'm not entirely sure they didn't use some sort of thread locker or at least really torque it down at the factory. Post pics of your boat and projects - we love pictures!! |

I'm going to do it on-boat - I could not get it off and I didn't want to damage it.
